At present, the first step of cardiopulmonary resuscitation has been changed to chest compressions, and when the rescuer is unwilling to carry out mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, we advocate the use of hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (cardiopulmonary resuscitation with chest compressions only) for rescue, so "doing" is more important than "kissing life".
Effective index of cardiopulmonary resuscitation
(1) Carotid pulsation: When pressing effectively, you can feel carotid pulsation every time pressing effectively. If the compression pulse disappears, chest compressions should be continued. If the pulse still exists after stopping pressing, the patient's heartbeat has recovered.
(2) complexion (lips): when the recovery is effective, the complexion changes from cyanosis to ruddy, and if it turns gray, it means that the recovery is invalid.
(3) Others: When resuscitation is effective, spontaneous breathing may occur, or the pupil changes from large to small with light reflex, even eye movements and limb convulsions.
