Duqu Town was built in Ming, Qing and Republic of China. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Duqu Town was established as Duqu Township. 196 1 year was set as a commune, 1984 was restored as a township, and 1985 was set as a town. 1996, with an area of 2 1.2 square kilometers and a population of 2 12000, governs Duqu neighborhood committee, watchcase factory, county construction factory, Xi Academy of Fine Arts, as well as Dongwei, Xiwei, Dongjiangpo, Xijiangpo, Niujiawan, Taoxibao, Sipo and Duqu Cave.

Fancun Township is located 7 kilometers south of Chang 'an. Before 1949, it was Nanfan Village Township, 196 1 was changed to Fancun Commune, and 1984 was changed to Fancun Township. 1996, fancun township covers an area of 17.9 square kilometers and a population of160,000, and governs six administrative villages/kloc-0.

After the zoning adjustment in 2002, the code of Duqu Town was 61016108, which governed Duqu West, Dongwei, Zhongwei, Xiwei, Dongjiangpo, Xijiangpo, Niujiawan, Taoxibao, Sipo, Duqu East Village and Duqu.

On April 4, 2007, Chang 'an District Government agreed to cancel Duqu Town and set up Duqu Street.
