On this day, the local Gelao people will kill chickens and prepare wine, light incense and candles, set off firecrackers, and worship the cow king and bodhisattva in front of the stable, praying for it to bless the health of the cattle. At the same time, the cows should be dressed in red and hung on the horns to show their birthdays.
Sacrifice (New Year's Eve)
That is, worship ancestors with polished rice. In rural areas, every family prepares rice and dishes for sacrifice on New Year's Eve. After dinner together, the whole stockade will worship ancestors in the middle of the hall, and there will be ceremonies such as kowtowing, singing and offering sacrifices.
