Xifeng Baota Temple, located in Pengyuan Town, 6 kilometers away from the urban area, was founded in Yongping 10 in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 67) and has a history of 1900 years. Once known as Futu Temple and Zhengjue Temple, it was renamed Baota Temple in Tang Tianbao in 14 (AD 755). At the peak of the Tang Dynasty, there were nearly 200 monks in Baota Temple, which became a pure land Dojo and a Buddhist holy place in Qingyang Prefecture.
