2. Human landscape. You can go to Hongshan Park, People's Park and Water Park. The first two are near Hongshan, a landmark building in Urumqi. You can also visit the statue of Lin Zexu. In People's Park, there is Yuewei Caotang, which is said to be Ji Xiaolan. Water parks are mainly recreational facilities. But personally, I think these scenic spots have nothing to see for comrades in the mainland.
3. Food trip. Generally, hotels have Xinjiang specialties, but I still adhere to the folk concept of food: I can go to Liu Hong barbecue at the back door of the military region, eat baked buns at the small shop next to the Khan Tengger Mosque in the south gate (sorry, I can't remember the name), eat pilaf at Mayflower or Yiqi, barbecue at Liang Jun next to Carrefour in Nanhu, and eat noodles at the industrial and commercial bureau guest house next to Fu Rui Sports Building. You can go to the "Zhu Jin Fried Chicken" on Tuanjie Road, the "Fat Old Man" on Xinyi Road to eat pepper chicken, and the "Changji Forty-nine" at the back door of Changyuan Park to eat meatball soup ... And there are many farmhouses in Shuimogou Village, which is not bad. Han, Uygur, Hui and Xibo have their own characteristics, which are worth seeing and eating.
4. Shopping trip. If you want to buy some dried fruits, you can go to the dried fruit market on Jinyin Avenue. If you want to buy special ornaments, you can go to Erdaoqiao, but you'd better bring them. If you want to buy lavender essential oil, you can go to the shop next to Nanhu Municipal Government, and the quality will be guaranteed. Other things, no different from other cities, are not recommended.
5. Travel around. You have enough time to visit Urumqi, but you can't go too far, including Turpan, Tianchi and Nanshan, and you can come back on the same day; Kanas and Ili will take two or three days, and I won't say anything else because it's too far away. If you choose to go out, you have to be mentally prepared: you spend most of your time on the road. The nearest Nanshan, it takes three or four hours to go back and forth.
I wish you a full and happy trip to Urumqi!
