Shen Zhenxin is a character in the novel Red Sun by Wu Qiang, a senior general of China People's Liberation Army (19/kloc-0-1990).

Shen Zhenxin in The Red Sun is adapted from the real prototype Wang Bicheng in My War of Liberation. He is an iron-blooded general with a mountain of military orders and a distinctive personality.

In the early 1950s, Wu Qiang completed the synopsis of the story and the brief list of characters in The Red Sun with more than 80,000 words. After a long period of conception, he took the story outline of The Red Sun and a large suitcase of information and hid in Nanjing, Hangzhou and other places to build this huge project.

Wu Qiang first lived in a secluded room in the Nanjing Military Region Guest House and began his first expedition. The desks and sofas are filled with all kinds of written materials and Chinese and foreign military masterpieces.
