From the Spring and Autumn Period to the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was called Li Zhong, once called Yan State in the Western Jin Dynasty, and changed back to Li Zhong in the Northern Qi Dynasty. Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty changed Zhongli to Haozhou, which lasted for three years and was changed to Zhongli County. At the end of Sui Dynasty, Zhongli County was changed to Haozhou. In the first year of Tianbao, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (AD 742), Haozhou was changed to Zhongli County, and the first year of Gan Yuan was renamed Haozhou. In the third year of Tang Yuanhe (808), Haohe changed to Haohe and Haozhou changed to Haozhou. Zhongli County was established in Song and Yuan Dynasties. In the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1369), Zhongli County was changed to Linhuai County in the third year of Hongwu, Lin Hao Prefecture was changed to a neutral country in the sixth year of Hongwu, and Fengyang Prefecture was changed to a neutral country in the seventh year of Hongwu (A.D. 1374).
