"February 2nd" Temple Fair

As a grand gathering of Han folk culture, the "February 2nd" temple fair is located in Liumen Village, about one mile outside the west gate of the county seat, close to Fenhe River, and also the transportation hub of Hexi and Hedong. At that time, the riverbed was too wide to build a bridge, so people built a ferry here and named it Dahuashu Ferry. There are several square miles of willows on the river beach, and there are two temples in the forest, one is the river temple and the other is the bodhisattva temple. Every year, on the second day of the second lunar month, people in Hedong and Hexi will trade livestock here to prepare for spring ploughing. Because the floodplain is wide and can store livestock, it has gradually become a place for people to exchange livestock. With the passage of time, people formed a meeting of mules and horses according to the day when the dragon looked up on February 2.
