What impression did Sun Wu leave on you?
Sun Tzu left the following impression:

Sun Wu is both wise and brave: he is also wise when he is tired; With 30,000 men, it is a concentrated expression of wisdom and courage to attack thousands of miles, cross mountains and mountains, defeat the Chu army by 200,000, and conquer the capital of Chu. Of course, his greatest contribution is Sun Tzu's Art of War. His military thoughts have now gone beyond the military field and national boundaries, entered a wider world and been widely used. He is indeed one of the greatest military strategists at all times and in all countries, and is the glory and pride of the Chinese nation.

Sun Wu, whose real name is Changqing, also known as the eldest grandson, was born in Le 'an, Qi State (now Huimin County, Shandong Province, now Guangrao, Shandong Province), and was a descendant of Chen Wan, the son of Chen State in the Spring and Autumn Period. In 672 BC, when Chen was in civil strife, Chen Wan fled to Qi and changed his surname to Tian. Tianwan v. Sun Tianshu (Sun Wu's grandfather) was awarded the title of Sun for his meritorious service in cutting Ju (now in Juxian County, Shandong Province).

In 532 BC, the "Four Surnames Rebellion" occurred in the State of Qi, and Tian and Bao joined hands to defeat the old aristocratic forces represented by Luan and Gao. Sun Wu left the State of Qi and went to the State of Wu, where he lived in seclusion near Gusu (the capital of the State of Wu, now Suzhou, Jiangsu). He devoted himself to the study of the art of war, summed up the experience of war, and wrote thirteen articles, which were later named Sun Tzu's Art of War.

Sun Tzu's Art of War is the earliest existing art book in the world. Thirteen articles are: planning, fighting, planning and attack, shape, potential, reality, military struggle, nine changes, marching, terrain, nine places, fire attack and use. Each chapter is independent and interrelated. The book summarizes the combat experience in the late Spring and Autumn Period and before, and reveals some important laws of war.

The first section of the opening chapter: "The great event of a country with soldiers" reveals the essence of war. Another example is "know yourself and know yourself, and you won't be in a hundred battles", which contains simple materialism and dialectics. This book has been praised as a "military classic" and a "military classic" through the ages. It is a national treasure, and it is valued by politicians, strategists and scholars at home and abroad.
