Material: colored ultra-light clay, 1 cardboard, 1 brush.
1. Cut the cardboard into rectangles. Paste the background board with pink clay, not too peaceful.
2. Choose different colors of clay to knead into a ball, stick it on the background board, and press it down into a hemisphere.
3. Poke these hemispheres out of the flower texture with a brush.
4. Knead the green clay into thin strips to make flower stems.
5, stick the flower stem.
6. Stick all the flowers on the stem.
7. Rub clay of different colors into small balls and sprinkle them on the background for decoration.
8. Make two blue water drops and press out the middle line.
9. Stick two drops of water on some flower balls as decoration.
10, knead four small water drops, press out the texture in the middle, and knead two small pink balls.
1 1, combined together, is a small butterfly.
12. Make more small butterflies and decorate them on the flowers, so that a clay sculpture painting is completed.
Characteristics of clay:
1. Plasticity: clay is mixed with proper amount of water to form a mud mass, which deforms but does not crack under the action of external force, and its shape remains unchanged after the external force is removed.
2. Bonding: After drying, the plastic clay mass becomes solid with certain strength, which can maintain the mutual bonding between clay particles without scattering.
3. Adsorption: Because clay particles have large surface area and surface energy, many clays are good adsorbents.
4. Sinterability: When the clay electrode is heated to a certain temperature (generally above 1000℃), liquid phase begins to appear due to the melting of fusible materials. When the liquid phase is filled in the gaps between unmelted particles, the porosity of clay decreases, the density increases, the volume decreases, and it becomes dense and solid by the tension of its surface tension.
Sintering is an important physical property of clay, which determines the applicability of clay in ceramic production and is the main reference performance index for selecting sintering temperature and determining sintering range.
