Introduction to Haiyang Yangko
Haiyang Yangko is one of the three major Yangko in Shandong, and it is a part of the folk social fire dance of Han nationality. Popular in Haiyang city, the south wing of Shandong Peninsula and the coast of the Yellow Sea. Haiyang Yangko is a folk art form of Han nationality, which integrates singing, dancing and drama. It is distributed in more than ten towns in Haiyang and radiated to surrounding areas. Haiyang Yangko is famous for its unrestrained, emotional and humorous performance style. In the form of performance, there are two kinds of venues: large venues and small venues. The big venue is group dance, with gongs and drums sonorous, and Ma Benteng is like a big river. Small venues are mostly duets and multi-person dances, just like a small bridge flowing water, full of twists and turns, beautiful. Haiyang Yangko has attracted a large number of artists, scholars and tourists from home and abroad to study and watch it because of its unique and outstanding Han folk art characteristics and rich flavor of life.
