Asakusa is the birthplace of Tokyo. Sensoji Temple is the oldest temple in Tokyo. Also known as Asakusa Leimen Kannonji, the official name of the temple is Jinlong Mountain Sensoji Temple. There is a huge lantern hanging in the center of the door, with the word "Leimen" written on it, which has become a symbol of asakusa. It is said that in 628 AD, a pair of brothers who made a living by fishing found the statue of Guanyin in the corner of Lany, and thought it was "the incarnation of Guanyin". Therefore, people built temples to worship Guanyin in the local area.
