Changqiu, located in Miao Zi Town in the southwest mountainous area of Qingzhou City, Shandong Province, is a small village with only 300 families. During the eight years in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the people here, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, made great contributions to the revolution with perseverance. There were 1 19 people who participated in the Eighth Route Army and the local armed forces of our party, 39 people died in the battlefield, 63 people died in Japanese prisons or were taken to the northeast for hard labor and were destroyed to death. The house in the village was burned 18 times. By 1942, there was not a complete house in the village. The battle course of Changqiu is epic, and the spirit of Changqiu people who would rather die than surrender and go forward bravely is worth praising and learning.
