The first thing: I believe in fate.
2065438+September 2005, I walked in Vietnam, from north to south, along the coastline. Because I planned to go to Hui 'an Ancient Town, I rented a motorcycle with a girl I met on the road and rode all the way from Da Nang to Hui 'an Ancient Town.
Hui 'an ancient town is very beautiful. That night, we met a group of domestic donkey friends in Hui 'an and went to eat the night market together. It was almost early morning after dinner. We walked back and came to a pond unconsciously. In the middle of the night, the path was dark and the street lamps were far apart. I was going to ask someone for directions. At this moment, I happened to see a cyclist coming in front of me, so I stopped and asked for directions in broken English.
I didn't expect the other party to be so fluent in Chinese. He said he was from China! Because we were talking while walking on the road, when we came to the next street light, I suddenly felt that this person looked familiar. I glanced at him again, and he seemed to hesitate to look at me. Guess what? He was my friend many years ago! I haven't seen you for five or six years because of work, and then I lost my phone several times! And he was traveling during this time, and he just arrived in Ann last night. I heard that renting a bicycle to play in Hoi An was more popular, so he pedaled his bicycle around. God knows how coincidentally I caught him!
If it weren't for fate, what a coincidence! In the middle of the night, I caught a man asking for directions in a foreign country or a small road and bumped into a friend I hadn't seen for years!
Second, what happened in the Indian Ocean town.
20/kloc-in February, 2007, I walked in Sri Lanka, from the small town of Merissa, along this beautiful Indian Ocean coastline, to the capital Colombo.
In the first half of the trip to Langkawi, my friends and I chartered a car on a hornet's nest. Later, I went to the small town of Merissa and was fascinated by the beautiful Indian Ocean. I see on the map that I can go all the way along this road to Colombo, the capital. So a bold idea came out, and I will go to Beijing in the second half of the year!
Because no one has traveled the whole route, and there is no reliable strategy to refer to, it will pass through many unknown towns along the way, and it will also risk the high temperature of more than 40 degrees. My companions advised me to be careful all the way.
After being separated from my companions, I started this adventure alone in a foreign country. A few days later, I walked to a small town called Amber Langohr. I clearly remember that I just walked into this town that afternoon and saw a man coming out of the shop in front of me. I looked. Isn't this Kabida? Cabinda was the driver of my first semi-chartered car! Then his owner Kumar came out of the store, and Kabida was surprised to see me. I saw a pile of suitcases on the bus and asked Kabida where some of my friends were. This simple and honest chubby said that they want to experience the sea train in Langkawi and start by train in advance. Now he is taking his luggage to meet my friend in the capital.
After bidding farewell to Kabida and Kumar, I think all this is incredible. I walked185km on this route and met this strange Indian Ocean town in a foreign country. Later, I learned that this town is not their resting place. Kabida just stopped temporarily to buy a bottle of water, but I stopped for two minutes and was caught by me. But that day, because there was something wrong with mobile navigation, I came to this town from another fork in the road and almost missed each other!
The journey is a wonderful process and a process of continuous discovery. Many things that have been doubted will be answered unconsciously when walking. Measuring the world with footsteps is not simply looking at the scenery, nor punching cards in one place, but constantly experiencing yourself and subliming your soul. Stories happen every day, and the stories on the journey are more exciting!
