Shanghang Dialect, also known as Shanghang Hakka Dialect and Shanghang Dialect, is similar to Meizhou Dialect, Huiyang Dialect and Sixian Dialect with Meicheng accent in Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, and belongs to a small part of Tingnan, Guangdong Province. In the past, due to the lack of in-depth investigation, Hakka dialects in Tingnan and Tingbei, once represented by Shanghang dialect, were collectively called Tingzhou (that is, Shanghang dialect was regarded as the south of Tingzhou).
