The origin of vegetarian banquet
In ancient times, when feudal etiquette was emphasized, people called the women who died for Husband's Day "martyrs" or "martyrs", and the literati who had the right to speak were willing to erect a monument for these women and praise them.

More than 500 years ago, probably in the middle of the Ming Dynasty, Taihe Village, Siyi Village, Zezhou, built a magnificent stone archway from north to east, and the expected story can be told slowly.

? In the autumn of a bumper harvest in the 1970s, the director of the old farmers' association in our village was going to hold a birthday party for the 86-year-old mother, and invited my master, without me. The old director said: My mother worked hard all her life. In that evil old society, she dug wild vegetables to eat bark, climbed mountains and floated down mountains, dragged us up, liberated us, divided fields, divided houses and lived.

? By evening, we were almost finished. The two old people told some stories about the past in the village. I listened quietly. There used to be several big families in our village. Every New Year's birthday, the host holds a banquet for the old people to show filial piety, and specially presents several tables of vegetarian banquets for the old mother to show deep respect.

? Dong Siyi Village is a state of etiquette. In Zezhou area, there used to be a saying that "courtesy is not enough to boast four righteousness", so this village has long had the old custom of supporting and respecting the elderly.

? Get down to business. In the past, Dong Siyi Village had spectacular temples and shady trees and cypresses. However, the old Dong Siyi Village is not famous for its concept of earthquake relief, temporary elections and Wenchang Pavilion, but for its chastity archway standing on the ancient road east of the village. The archway is resplendent and beautifully carved, which was given by the Ming emperor because the word "imperial edict" is engraved on it.

This is the last part of it.

? Here's the thing. A reporter who came to Dong Siyi in 1958 came to Dong Siyi village in' 76 to see the castle. What a pity that he stood on the old site with nothing and was silent for a long time before saying! What a pity! If the chastity archway is well preserved, it may be listed as one of the wonders of the world, just like the pyramids and the Sphinx in Egypt, the hanging gardens in Babylon, the Colosseum in ancient Rome and the temples in ancient Greece!

? (What he said is a bit awkward, too? )

There are three wonders in the stone archway of chastity, odd one, beautiful sculpture and odd two. Where did you get so many stone tops, stone pillars and tons of Liang Shi? How did you bring them back and put them on the two or three-foot high gatehouse? There is also a sad story in Strange Three, a memorial arch that makes people cry.

? Throughout history, probably in the middle of Ming Dynasty, Shi Xiezhi, the son of Taihe village historian in Dong Siyi, was admitted to imperial academy with excellent results. Shi Xiezhi's extraordinary strategy, talent and wisdom of governing the country have been appreciated and valued by Ming Chengzu. When Shi Xiezhi became famous, he thought of his mother who gave birth to him and raised him. When Shi was two years old, his father was seriously ill and left. His mother went through a lot of hardships to bring him up. It's just that he never remarried. One day, Shi Xiezhi thought of his childhood mother, and after many hardships, he survived many tearful nights. Now he is an official himself. He wants to eat well, wear a lot of clothes and be filial to his mother, but her mother doesn't like delicious food, and she doesn't think it is suitable to wear good clothes. After careful consideration, Shi decided to build a chastity memorial archway for his elderly mother.

? Shi Xiezhi then met the emperor, continued his mother's experience and mentioned his own requirements. He set up a chastity memorial arch for his mother, an imperial edict, and everything was connected. The Zezhou government received the imperial edict, recruited craftsmen from all over the world, built a beautifully crafted stone archway, and sealed several women. It's hard to say now, so I gave him the word "Jie Lie Ke Feng" to set up a monument to Qing history.

? In the second year, Shi Jie Rong Zhi returned to his hometown, and the official residence did not oppress the villagers. At home, he hosted a banquet in the Intermediate People's Court to entertain the whole village. Old people in their sixties are arranged in a big house with six rooms and more than 100 tables, with delicacies and local products as the top grades and snacks and pasta as the main banquets.

? Since then, vegetarian banquets in Dong Siyi Village, which are filial piety to mothers, have become a trend and passed down from generation to generation.

? This rule of expressing filial piety soon spread to Zezhou.
