The muscles around the mouth are like a delicate stage, divided into three layers: shallow, medium and deep. Shallow muscles, such as levator labialis, zygomatic muscle and laughing muscle, work together to make your mouth rise and form that charming smile. Dimple is affected by heredity, which is autosomal dominant inheritance. If one of the parents has dimples, the child may inherit this feature. On the contrary, if neither parent has dimples, then the child basically has no dimples.
