Brief introduction to the species of salamander in Banna
Amphibians, also known as Anpoda, are distributed in tropical areas, with about 160 known species, and amphibians are the only representative species of this order in China. Earthworms are similar in shape, the head and neck are indistinguishable, the limbs and bones are degenerated, the mucus glands on the body surface are rich, and some parts of the body have scales. The mode of reproduction is in vivo fertilization, oviparous or viviparous, and some kinds of females have hatching behavior. Banna salamander has no limbs, and its movement relies on the contraction of body folds to achieve freedom of advance and retreat. Due to long-term adaptation to cave dwelling, the eyes have degenerated and only punctate remnants can be seen. I live in the dense forest and mountainous area at an altitude of 200-600 meters. I like to live in lush mountain streams and fertile Chi Pan, and live in caves.

The life habit of Banna salamander is to lie down during the day and go out at night. I like to eat earthworms and also feed on other insect larvae. It looks like a worm. At first glance, it looks like an earthworm. It has no limbs, a short tail, and its larvae have tail fins. Due to long-term adaptation to cave dwelling, the eyes are hidden under the skin, and there is no visual function, only the feeling of light. There is a process of contact between eyes and nose, and there are about 360 folds in the body. The back of the body is brown and black with yellow longitudinal stripes on the side. The total length of an adult is about 380 mm.
