Normal little boys may have excessive foreskin, but the foreskin should be able to flip behind the glans of the penis. If the opening of the foreskin is narrow and tightly wraps the glans of the penis and cannot be turned up, it is called phimosis. For children born with excessive foreskin, parents can often and repeatedly turn the child's foreskin over to enlarge the foreskin opening. But the technique should be gentle so that the child can accept it. After exposing the glans, clean the accumulated dirt and then reset it. If the foreskin is forcibly turned up and not reset in time, the foreskin opening will get stuck in the glans of the penis, blocking the blood and lymphatic flow of the foreskin and glans penis, causing congestion, edema, and prone to infection or even necrosis.
