Magnetic Hospital was put forward by American scholar Macclure in 198 1 and published in 1983. It refers to a hospital that can attract professional nurses like a magnet, reduce the wastage rate of nurses, have a high-quality nursing team and provide high-quality nursing services when there is a serious shortage of nurses.
ANA (American Nurses Association) and ANCC (American Nurses Certification Center) established a nationwide project to improve quality nursing service in 1992, that is, the "magnetic certification project", and the hospitals that passed the magnetic certification were called "magnetic hospitals".
The development of magnetic therapy hospital has a history of more than 30 years. The development process can be divided into four periods: ① 1983- 1989 is the original magnetic institute period; ② 1989- 1993 is the standard period of magnetic gold; ③ 1993 is the development period of nursing quality; ④ 1994 is the period of ANCC magnetic certification project.
evaluation criterion
The initial evaluation must meet the following criteria: (1) Nurses think the hospital is a good place to work; (2) The hospital has the ability to supplement and retain professional nurses, and its index is low turnover rate; (3) Hospitals have the advantage of competing with other medical institutions for nurses; (4) The members of the Society met with nursing managers and nurses. Ask the following questions: What makes your hospital a good place for nurses to work? Can you tell me a detailed plan to achieve professional and personal satisfaction in your position? Can you tell the goal of nursing quality? Can you combine the actual operation with the planning procedure to improve it? Can you tell me the relationship between nurses and doctors in your hospital? Please describe all nursing staff and managers, including interpersonal relationships at different levels. What is your nursing philosophy and why? Is it more successful than other hospitals in increasing staff and retaining people? Why? Will you give advice to nursing leaders to reduce the nurse turnover rate?
Mcclure and others put forward 14 magnetic standard, including: (1) quality of nursing management; (2) organizational structure; (3) management structure; (4) Personnel policies and plans; (5) nursing mode; (6) quality of care; (7) quality improvement; (8) Consulting and resources; (9) autonomy; (10) community nursing; (1 1) Nurses are also teachers; (12) Nursing image; (13) interdisciplinary relationship; (14) development of nursing specialty.
Later, Kramer and Schmalenbei put forward eight magnetic elements: (1) competent clinical nurses; (2) Good doctor-patient relationship and communication; (3) ca sovereignty and nurse responsibility; (4) Nursing management support; (5) Control and management of nursing service and nursing service environment; (6) Supporting nursing education; (7) A sufficient number of nurses; (8) The concept of patient first.
Authentication procedure
First, log on to the ANCC website to learn about it. Then, according to the Scope and Standard of Nurse Management published by ANA and the Handbook of Magnetic Introduction and Application Procedures published by ANCC, the nursing environment and the preparation of magnetic certification application were self-evaluated. Then, form a formal document (English) and submit the application and certification documents that meet the magnetic standards to the magnetic planning office.
The Organizing Committee of Magnetic Procedure of American Nursing Center forwarded the submitted applications to the reviewers-most of them are nurses who are still in nursing posts, and all of them have been trained in magnetic procedure evaluation. The assessor's work is completely independent, and there are scoring standards for each performance appraisal. When the nursing service of medical institutions reaches the standard, the assessor will score according to the magnetic scale.
If each reviewer's score exceeds the minimum score of the magnetic marker, the reviewer will conduct on-site inspection. The 2-3 days field trip includes meeting with nursing managers, all nurses, patients and other related personnel, and also providing public forums to display application materials in public places, with the purpose of verifying the document information and obtaining first-hand information on the nursing environment.
The organizing committee will decide whether to grant the status of the Institute of Magnetism by voting according to the evaluation report and the recommendation letter from the judges. The whole application process takes about 10 ~ 12 weeks, and the appraisal period is four years. During this period, the nursing service institutions have to submit annual monitoring reports, and they have to be re-evaluated after four years. Although the re-evaluation requires fewer documents, the evaluation procedures and standards remain the same.
After obtaining the magnetic hospital certification, each nurse was awarded a magnetic badge.
In 20 16, when I attended the first international conference of specialized nurses, I was lucky enough to listen to a speech with the theme of "magnet: a journey of nursing Excellence", which impressed me deeply. So I came back to find some information and made this PPT. It's just a scratch, but it's not enough to look at Han Hai.
