Construction background of Yuhuang Temple
West Street Jade Emperor Temple, West Street 44 1. According to the inscription on the west side of the courtyard of Huang Yu Temple, the temple was built in the second year of the Tang Dynasty (namely 828 AD), and it has been 1 182 years since then. Successive generations have been repeatedly repaired and rebuilt. During the reign of King Jing (a native of Liaodong in Northeast China) in the 6th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1667), a "gold-piling club" (similar to the present fundraising foundation) was established, and people from all walks of life donated more than 280 taels of silver to buy the temple field, and the rent was used for sacrifice. During this period, Chen and others supervised the work, and Su Tongzong, the head of Xuanmiao Temple, led his disciples Sun Wangfazhu and Su Jingchun to participate in the comprehensive renovation of the Jade Emperor Temple. All buildings were painted with precise and meticulous paint, and various statues were reshaped and decorated with gold.
