Car ferry is a kind of car used to pick up and drop off passengers, which can be generally divided into three types, namely, short-distance pick-up and drop-off between long-distance planes and waiting rooms, short-distance pick-up and drop-off between terminal buildings and parking lots, and short-distance pick-up and drop-off between airport departure floors and nearby stations.
The word "car ferry" originated from the airport and is a means of transportation connecting the airport terminal and long-distance planes. There are many planes and few seats in the airport, so it costs a lot of money to build a seat. Therefore, most planes stay in distant seats and need to transport passengers by car ferry. Later, the term was extended to urban short-distance traffic connections and industrial production equipment. According to different purposes, it is mainly divided into: airport car ferry, city car ferry, tunnel kiln car ferry (industrial production), DBD car ferry (industrial production) and so on.
