1. First, lay the glass tube (rod) flat on the table, and press the part to be cut with your left hand according to the required length.

2. Secondly, the right hand uses the blade of the drop knife (or small fine grinding wheel) to face in one direction at the part to be cut (do not saw back and forth).

3. Finally, force the dent. The dent caused by force shall be cut perpendicular to the glass tube (rod).
