PS:Windows Edition-What's the difference between ——MSDN, OEM and RTM?
(a) MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) version
This is a version provided by Microsoft for software developers. MSDN covers all platforms and applications that can be developed and expanded, so Encarta, an encyclopedia of Microsoft, or various games are not included in MSDN, because these products are directly oriented to end users and do not need program development.
(2) OEM version
It can only be shipped at random, not retail, so it is called random edition. Can only be fully installed, not upgraded from the old operating system. If you buy a laptop or a brand computer, you will have a random version of the software. The packaging is not as beautiful as the retail version. Generally, there is only one CD and instructions (power of attorney). This system usually has few drivers, and the current oem version can rarely be installed on optical disks, whether it is a recovery disk or a hard disk image.
(3) RTM (release to manufacturing) version
It takes some time for tabletting, packaging and distribution before the retail store is officially put on the shelves, so the program code must be completed some time before the official release. This complete program code is called final. After the program code is developed, the master film will be sent to the factory for tabletting in large quantities. This version is called rtm version. The program code of rtm version is the same as that of official version. However, there are still some differences between rtm and the official version: for example, the oem in the official version cannot be upgraded and installed, and the upgraded version will check the old operating system CD if it is completely installed. The above is the difference between RTM and the official version, but their main program codes are the same. Strictly speaking, this version still belongs to the retail version of fpp and needs to be activated.
