Standing in the grandstand area of Zhangjiakou Chongli National Ski Jumping Center, the shape of "Snow Ruyi" comes into view. Zhang Li, dean of the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University, deputy chief architect of Tsinghua University Institute of Architectural Design and Research, and chief planner of Zhangjiakou Division of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, explained that the platform jumping section is vividly called "Snow Ruyi" because it matches the S-shaped curve of the traditional auspicious ornament "Ruyi" in China.
Looking up at "Happy Snow", 106 and 140 two standard tracks are inclined downward, just like the S-shaped curve of ancient China culture, which forms a unique expression of China culture to the Winter Olympics.
The construction is difficult, it is difficult to overcome the difficulties and create many firsts.
According to Ma Long, deputy general manager of Zhangjiakou Olympic Sports Construction and Development Co., Ltd., since the construction started on May 1 2065438, in just two and a half years, non-competition venues such as the National Platform Skiing Center, the National Biathlon Center and the National Cross-country Skiing Center have been built one after another. Among them, the national ski jumping center is the competition venue with the largest workload and the highest technical difficulty.
As the first standard ski jumping venue in China, the drop between the top of Xueruyi and the ground exceeds 1.3 meters. The site selection makes full use of the natural landform, and the drop and shape of the valley are highly consistent with the competition requirements, so there is no need to cut too many mountains.
Because of the steep mountain, it is difficult for large-scale construction machinery and equipment to play their role, and workers need to carry building materials by hand. Secondly, there are many and large stones at the base of the mountain, which can't be reached by manpower, and the working face is narrow, so the process of hitting the base is extremely difficult. In addition, due to the climate of the sacrificial ceremony, the short construction period has also become a big problem. "Chongli can only be constructed in May, and it entered the winter in June+10 in 5438. We have to take some winter construction measures and plans in winter. It is difficult for workers. " Malone said.
Even so, the completion of Snow Ruyi has created many firsts. It is the world's first ski jumping hall with an all-reinforced concrete super-long frame structure, the first ski jumping hall with a large cantilever building at the top departure area, the most designed ski jumping hall in the world and the longest ski jumping track in the world.
Sustainable development embodies the green Olympics everywhere.
In the early stage of the construction of the national ski jumping center, the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and the developer made a lot of sustainable development research reports. The construction of "Snow Ruyi" incorporates the green vegetation of Chongli, which explains Chongli's design concept of "taking the overall construction of the ecological landscape in the Olympic core area as the core and building the ecological landscape of the Winter Olympics as the goal" from one side.
