Nucleic acid detection specimens can collect deep sputum, nasopharyngeal swab and oropharyngeal swab. Among them, oropharyngeal swab and nasopharyngeal swab are collectively called pharyngeal swab, oral swab is oropharyngeal swab, and nasal swab is nasopharyngeal swab.
Before collecting nasopharyngeal swab, the inspector should inform the collector whether the nasal septum is bent and the history of nasal surgery. During the process, you may feel itchy nose, which stimulates sneezing. You can immediately cover it with a paper towel or elbow. A small amount of nosebleed may appear after nasopharyngeal swab collection, and generally no special treatment is needed. If there is a lot of bleeding, please go to the hospital for treatment in time.
When collecting oropharyngeal swabs, the tester leans back and opens his mouth to make an "ah" sound, which helps to expose his throat, but there will be symptoms such as irritating dry cough, nausea and vomiting during the process, so the tester can cooperate with the collector to relax and take a deep breath as much as possible; Pay attention to hand hygiene before and after nucleic acid detection, and wipe your hands with hands-free disinfectant or alcohol.
