What are the key points of maintenance and management of Liriodendron chinense?
Alias of Liriodendron: Hand Tree, Duck Foot Wood and Liriodendron.

Family and Genus: Araliaceae, Liriodendron.

Origin: China.

Chinese tulip tree

Soil: Potted soil can be made of peat soil, humus soil and perlite with a small amount of base fertilizer. Change the pot soil once a year in spring. If plastic containers are used, please pay attention to drainage. You can also use potted plants with fine sand.

Fertilization: apply liquid fertilizer to the basin soil every 1 ~ 2 weeks in the growing season.

Moisture: it grows well in the environment with high air humidity and sufficient soil moisture, and also adapts to the dry climate in the north. When potted, the pot soil should not be short of water in the summer growing season, otherwise the leaves will fall off. Water should be properly controlled in winter to keep the soil moist.

Temperature: the suitable temperature for growth is 15 ~ 25℃, and the lowest temperature in winter should not be lower than 5℃, otherwise it will cause freezing injury and leaf falling off.

Lighting: Keep indoor light in direct sunlight for about 4 hours every day. Yellow and white striped varieties, when the light is too weak or more nitrogen fertilizer is applied, the stripes will become blurred.

Plastic pruning: it is easy to sprout long branches, and it needs regular plastic pruning at ordinary times. When the old plants cultivated indoors for many years are too large, they can be pruned again when changing soil, removing most branches and cutting off some roots at the same time.
