Mount Tai, located in the middle of Qilu, has been known as "the best mountain in the world" since ancient times, and it is said that "the mountain is not bigger than Mount Tai, and history is also the Gu Mo in Mount Tai"! Its peaks are endless, its natural scenery is magnificent, and its human landscape has been through the ages. Each scenic spot exudes a unique cultural atmosphere, and the unique Taishan culture, especially Zen culture, has created its elegant temperament. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions, attracting millions of tourists every year. At present, it has been rated as the top ten famous mountains in China by People's Daily, which can be said to be deserved!

There is such a landscape at the southern foot of Mount Tai, which is located in the urban-rural junction of Taicheng, and it is also the intersection of Mount Tai's Shanghuanshan Highway and Panshan Highway. East of Xixi Grand Canyon, overlooking Xixi Canyon, is the starting point for climbing Mount Tai by bus. Formerly known as Caojiacun, it belonged to Yingsheng Village Committee. In ancient times, it was far from downtown, with ancient trees and rocks everywhere, and forests and fruits all over the mountain, as if it were beyond the world. Even in ancient and modern times, it is called Tianwai Village! Tianwai Village was built in 2000, and it has only been more than 20 years now. Now this place is one of the places that can best show the Zen culture of Mount Tai, with lush trees, deep valleys, competing streams and picturesque scenery!

There are many scenic spots in Tianwai Village, including Tianwai Village Square, Qinhe River, Shi Xia Park, Dazhong Bridge, Feng Yuxiang's Tomb, Tianwai Village Garden, Longtan Reservoir and Xiangyouwan, among which Tianwai Village Square is the most popular among tourists! Tianwai Village Square, also known as Tianyuan Local Square, means "the unity of heaven and man". With a total area of more than 35,000 square meters, it consists of a square square, a circular square, 12 dragon column sculptures and the Tang Dynasty Taishan relief. The layout of the square is stepped from south to north, followed by square square, dragon column sculpture (relief) and circular square. 65,438+02 dragon pillars represent 65,438+02 ancient emperors who once sacrificed to Mount Tai.

The ancients said that "the sky is thick" and "the sky is too high to reach Mount Tai". Therefore, Mount Tai has become a "paradise leading to the throne" and a place where ancient emperors who claimed to be blessed by nature were "ordered by heaven". The so-called "divine right", in which "heaven" refers to Mount Tai. In order to report to heaven his great achievements in governing the world, to express gratitude and pray for longevity, holding a grand ceremony in Mount Tai became the fanatical pursuit of the ancient emperors' life, and the Zen ceremony came into being! Is the emperor qualified to worship Mount Tai? The answer is no! Three conditions must be met at the same time, one of which is the hardest core, which keeps most emperors out of meditation! So what is this "hard core"?

The emperor should have three conditions: obedience, meritorious service and gratitude. Being ordered means that he was ordered by heaven, which is the premise of Zen. Of course, the emperor? They are all sons of heaven. You can take this! "Fu Rui" means good luck from heaven, which is proof of closing Zen. There are unicorns here and gobbledygook there. If you want to have it, you will have it, so you can have this! The third "merit" is to demand national unity, peace, morality and heaven and earth. This is a qualification for retreat, and most emperors really don't have it! Many emperors live a carefree life, which is immoral! There are still discordant voices on the border from time to time, and foreign enemies invade! Still dare to retreat? Think too much, wash and sleep!

Once the three conditions were met, the ancient emperors could not wait to lead their ministers to Mount Tai to hold amenorrhea ceremonies. The so-called "sealing" means ordering people to borrow soil from the top of Mount Tai, which is closest to the sky, build a frustum of a cone and burn firewood to worship the sky, that is, increasing the height of Mount Tai to show that their achievements go to heaven. The so-called "Zen" is to sweep the floor and gather soil at the top of Sheshou Mountain at the foot of the mountain, and build a square altar to worship the land god, which means to increase the thickness of the soil in return for rich feelings, and to use the frustum and square altar to represent the round place. Tianwai Village Circular Square is located at the height of the north, symbolizing the "sealed" circular platform on the top of Mount Tai, and the square square square symbolizes the "Zen" square altar on the downhill of Mount Tai.

At the junction of the circular square and the square square, there are steps in the north. Six dragon column sculptures stand on the east and west sides of the steps, with a height of 7.2 meters and a diameter of 0.9 meters. The six on the east side represent the Yellow Emperor, Zhou Chengwang, Emperor Wudi of the Western Han Dynasty, Emperor Wendi of the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. The six in the west represent Shun Di, Qin Shihuang, Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Tang Gaozong, Song Zhenzong and Qingganlong respectively. These 12 ancient emperors, without exception, visited Mount Tai for meditation and sacrifice, which left a deep impression on the history of China. It's been more than 1000 years, and many things are jokes from ancient times to modern times! In the central area of the stone steps, there is a map of Mount Tai with a length of 27 meters and a width of 3 meters, which contains various sacrificial ceremonies held according to the four-altar meditation system.
