How to prune loquat trees?
Pruning loquat trees: Pruning is also an important method to promote loquat summer shoots. When pruning, we should do two things: first, pay attention to promoting growth and making it flourish; Second, we should pay attention to the regeneration and cultivation of fruiting mother branches. Therefore, various branches should be treated as follows: dense branches: only the strong side branches of 1 ~ 2 are kept, and the redundant branches are deleted.

Cross branch: two branches cross and hinder growth, so 1 branch should be deleted.

Weak branches: except for temporary preservation in places with large gaps in the crown; Generally deleted.

Pest and disease branches: except for temporarily retaining branches with less harm; Should be deleted.

Dead branches: all trimmed.

Concurrent Branch: If there are more than two perennial branches, the 1 branch should be deleted or recovered.

Long branches: cut off from the base; If the position is suitable, it can be cut short, let it sprout new buds and cultivate into fruiting mother branches.

Fruiting mother branch: except for weakening the fruiting mother branch; Pruning is generally not allowed.

Fruiting branches: After the fruit is picked, the fruiting branches can grow strong new branches from the base, which are called fruit-mark branches. Again, the result performance is better. So the fruiting branches are generally not pruned.
