In 2002, ceramic laser technology was rated as one of the top ten breakthroughs in international laser technology. The research work of planar waveguide solid-state laser in Britain won the outstanding contribution award from BAE Systems. In 2005, it was awarded the title of "Outstanding Overseas Talents (Hundred Talents Program)" by China Academy of Sciences and introduced to Shanghai Institute of Optics and Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2007, it was supported by "Hundred Talents Program" of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2008, a high-tech laser company was established by using patented technology to develop and produce high-power solid-state lasers. As the main researcher, he was responsible for and participated in major national projects such as the Major Direction Project, the 863 Project and the 973 Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and developed many scientific research achievements such as high-power slab laser system and high-power mid-infrared laser. The technical indicators have reached the international advanced level, filling the domestic gap. Up to now, more than 70 papers have been published, more than 50 conferences have been held, 2 English monographs (some chapters) have been applied for invention patents 10, and many times they have been invited to give special reports at international academic conferences.
