Introduction of grinning bodhisattva statue in Huayan Temple
There are 3 1 piece of Liao clay sculptures on the wide Buddhist altar. The Third Buddha of the Central Committee (past lives) is juxtaposed, and other disciples, bodhisattvas and supporting boys are divided into three groups, sitting alternately in turn. The central Buddha statue looks solemn and quiet, sitting on the lotus. There are four layers of lotus petals, on which there is a Buddha statue with golden drops of powder, and the composition is beautiful. Four Bodhisattvas sat on the bench, looking demure and dignified. The rest of the statues are also ornate and natural. There is a statue of King Kong, the protector, standing in the four corners, which is magnificent. Among them, the Bodhisattva (pictured right) is the most vivid, with a full face, a beautiful face and a flowery smile, which is the treasure of color plastic art in Liao Dynasty.
