How to take care of woolen clothes?

Wool clothes are difficult to wash, and defects may occur if not handled properly. Therefore, wool clothes should be dry-cleaned, but when washing with water, you must pay attention to the following issues:

1. When washing with water, the soaking time should not be too long, that is, it should be completed in 5 to 10 minutes.

2. The washing temperature should not be too high, nor should it be soaked in hot water. Generally, the washing temperature is controlled at around 40°C to prevent wool fabrics from hardening, shrinking and reducing elasticity.

3. Do not use high-concentration or concentrated strongly alkaline washing powder. Generally, low-alkaline or neutral washing powder is used for washing. The concentration and dosage of lye must be determined according to the quantity of woolen clothes and the degree of dirt.

4. Use even and moderate force when washing by hand to avoid flowers, dimples, etc. during washing.

5. When rinsing with clean water for the last time, it is advisable to put glacial acetic acid (concentration 0.2% ~ 0.3%) in the clean water before washing, so as to remove (neutralize) the stains in the woolen clothing. Residual lye can restore softness and luster to wool clothing fibers.
