What infertility can be corrected?
The treatment of infertility involves a wide range, but the most important thing is to find out the real cause of infertility first.

When male factors lead to infertility, men must receive treatment or artificial insemination. When ovulation disorder occurs, ovulation drugs or hormones can be used to help ovulation. Luteal insufficiency can be treated with luteinizing hormone. When the cervix is inflamed or the secretion is incompatible with sperm, drugs can also be used to improve the cervix to achieve the purpose of pregnancy.

In recent years, with the breakthrough of obstetrics and gynecology research and the development of in vitro fertilization technology, many infertile patients who were previously considered as incurable diseases have successfully become pregnant after surgical correction. Many previously neglected infertility, after surgical treatment, the probability of pregnancy has also increased a lot.

(1) Hysteromyomectomy: Among infertile women, 5% have hysteromyoma. Myoma may block the cervix, fallopian tube or occupy the uterine cavity, making women infertile. It may also make women prone to miscarriage after pregnancy and fail to give birth to babies smoothly. If the myoma of uterus is removed by surgery (but the uterus is preserved), 50% patients can get pregnant successfully. However, it should be noted that such patients must be pregnant after 4 to 6 months of surgery.

(2) Uterine plastic surgery: This kind of surgery is designed for women with congenital uterine malformation. Although in the whole population statistics, there are only 1/300 people with uterine malformation. However, 3% of women who have had an abortion have this deformity; More than 30% of women who have miscarried more than three times suffer from this deformity. Because of the different types of deformities, the surgical methods are also different. These three common malformations are called double uterus, double horn uterus and intrauterine septum. These deformed uterus can be pregnant after plastic surgery for 6 months. According to statistics, 75% ~ 80% of women who have undergone uterine plastic surgery can successfully conceive and give birth to full-term babies, but most doctors advocate that such patients should be delivered by caesarean section.

(3) Tubal ligation surgery: Tubal problem is one of the two main reasons for female infertility. With the increasing infection rate of female genital organs, the number of infertile women due to tubal problems is also increasing. According to the research statistics of Lom and Weist, women with 1 bacterial infection in the pelvic cavity have a 13% chance of infertility; The probability of infertility after two infections rose to 35%; After infection for more than 3 times, the possibility of infertility is as high as 75%. According to this statistic, pelvic inflammatory disease is closely related to infertility.

In the past, obstetricians and gynecologists were almost helpless about this kind of infertility. However, in recent years, due to the progress of surgical technology and the development of various drugs, there have been opportunities for cure.

There are several types of tubal ligation (including reconnecting the ligated fallopian tubes), and the success rate of each type of operation is different, ranging from 50% to 25%. Among them, the success rate of tubal ligation and recanalization is the highest, which can reach 70% ~ 80%.

(4) Endometriosis surgery: Traditionally, general doctors often use hormones to treat endometriosis, but some patients do not respond well to drug treatment. At this time, surgery is a method worthy of attention. According to the statistics of doctors such as Gray, Scott and Bert, 50% ~ 60% women who are infertile due to endometriosis can successfully get pregnant within two years if the ectopic endometrium is removed by surgery and the uterus is suspended forward.

(5) Wedge resection of polycystic ovary: In principle, ovulation caused by polycystic ovary can be treated with drugs, but if the drug treatment response is not good, it can be treated surgically. This kind of operation is wedge resection of ovary, which is called "wedge resection" in medicine. According to statistics, after this surgical treatment, 75% ~ 80% of patients can get pregnant successfully.

If you can't get pregnant after the above treatment, you can consider using in vitro fertilization to help you get pregnant.
