Clothing production process

I. Design:

Generally speaking, most medium-sized and large garment factories will hire designers to create clothing collections to meet the needs of customers. In terms of design work, computers are more and more widely used.

Design work can be divided into two different categories:

1, creative design

Designers refer to fashion trends and market trends to design and sketch all kinds of clothing.

2. Technical design

Designers trying to make their own clothes need to know what materials to choose, as well as the equipment and staff skills of the clothing factory.

Second, the first sample production:

When you have a preliminary design, the next step is to draw the required pattern according to the designed pattern. The first pattern drawn by the original design is generally called the first pattern or base pattern in the clothing industry. The first pattern is usually a standard size or a medium size. However, drawing the first sample has high technical requirements and is generally regarded as a master in the industry.

Third, sample making:

When the preliminary head sample is completed, the next step is to make samples according to the head sample cutting. This process is generally arranged in the factory office, which can be divided into cutting office and sewing office. Sample production usually only makes one or a few pieces, so employees in garment factories generally choose more skilled workers. For example, sewing workers in the office can generally complete the sewing process of samples. After the sample is completed, if some places can't meet the customer's requirements, or the customer needs to change some places or styles, the usual process needs to start with the initial sample and then make the sample again, which may take several times until the customer is completely satisfied.

Fourth, pattern grading:

When the clothing samples are accepted by the customers, the next step is to draw samples of different sizes according to the customers' requirements. In pattern grading, the application of computer in garment production is one of the most extensive and earliest computer-aided designs.

Five, order the required fabrics and accessories:

After the customer accepts the samples, the garment factory needs to order fabrics and accessories according to the required quantity for production. Many garment factories have the most problems in this link.

For example:

The estimated consumption is inaccurate, and the quality and quantity of fabrics and accessories provided by suppliers are problematic, resulting in delayed delivery.

These will eventually hinder production and delay delivery to customers, and serious quality problems will only appear after the finished products are completed, which may lead to customer returns.

Six, cutting cloth:

This work can be subdivided into the following processes.

1. Plan the size and quantity of garment pieces and the number of cloth layers to be cut. Usually, the number of cloth layers to be cut and the number of beds to be cut are planned according to the matching of the indicated size and number of pieces ordered by the customer (order contract).

2. Manufacture of marking arrangement frame

Generally speaking, clothing factories cut cloth into pieces and then combine them into wearable clothes. In order to accurately cut a large number of clothes, it is necessary to adopt special cutting tools and arrange marking frames. After checking the accuracy of the pattern, the pattern pieces are laid flat on the paper and arranged into a combination, which is called a frame in the industry. The function of the frame is to arrange according to the principle of least materials, so as to minimize the direct cost, and the most accurate dosage is calculated from the frame. Layout marking is a technical work, and many technical requirements must be considered.

For example:

Computer-aided logo frame design is also one of the earliest and most widely used technologies in clothing industry, such as the direction of cloth type, the width of cloth, the properties of cloth, the combination of sizes, the length of cloth to be drawn, etc.
