1946 Wang Damei graduated from Peking University School of Medicine, and began to participate in plastic surgery creation in Peking University No.1 Hospital from 1949. 1956, joined the China * * * production party. He has served as lecturer, associate professor and professor of Beijing Medical College, chief resident physician of surgery in affiliated hospitals, basic departments and stomatological hospitals of Beijing Medical College, director of teaching and research group of regional anatomical surgery, director of maxillofacial surgery in affiliated stomatological hospitals, director of plastic surgery in Peking University Third Hospital (formerly the Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing Medical College) and doctoral supervisor.
He has won the second prize and the first prize of national and Yunnan science and technology books, and the second prize and the first prize of scientific and technological achievements in Yunnan Province and Xicheng District. From 65438 to 0983, the lecture on plastic surgery (head and neck) edited by her won the second prize of national excellent science and technology books, the first prize of Yunnan science and technology books and the second prize of scientific and technological achievements.
At the invitation of G.S.Brody, Chairman of the Education Foundation of American Society of Plastic Surgery, he went to the United States twice for academic exchanges in 1984 and 1987, and gave academic reports such as "Medical Scheme Design for Some Difficult Diseases in Plastic Surgery" in the American 14 City Medical College. 1987 was hired as a visiting professor of plastic surgery by the Medical College of the University of Virginia in the United States, as a correspondent for plastic surgery students in the United States, and as the editorial board of European Plastic Surgery in the United States and International Plastic Surgery in Israel.
During his lectures in the United States, he was a visiting professor of plastic surgery at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. 1955, 1960 and 1983 were successively rated as advanced workers and model workers in Beijing. 1960 won the title of "March 8th Red Flag Bearer" in China and Beijing, 1992 was commended by the State Council, and 1995 was commended by Chinese Medical Association as an expert who has made outstanding contributions to medical science and social development and construction.
On March 5th, 2003, Professor Wang Damei died in Beijing at the age of 82.
