Yushu is a plant belonging to Sedaceae. Its branches are thick and its leaves are thick. The key is to be drought-resistant, so it will be watered less or not at all.
How can Yushu grow fast and tall?
Generally, chemical fertilizer is not used for maintenance, which will lead to the slow growth of our Yushu, or it will not grow. So, how can Yushu grow fast, thick and green?
Mixed soil
Yushu is a plant with strong adaptability to soil, but if you want it to grow fast, flourish and grow green, you still need to provide it with suitable soil.
Moreover, Yushu has a well-developed root system and can grow well in garden soil. However, soil with good air permeability, good water permeability and certain nutrients should be provided as much as possible.
We can use granular soil and nutrient soil according to the ratio of 1: 1, and we can also use river sand and humus soil. But you must choose a soil that is breathable, permeable and contains certain nutrients.
If there are conditions for growing flowers, when preparing flower soil for Yushu, you can add more soft and breathable humus soil or a small amount of sheep manure.
This kind of soil can make the pot soil soft, breathable and nutritious, so it can grow rapidly. On the contrary, if the basin soil is hard, has poor permeability and lacks nutrients, its growth rate will be very slow.
water
Water is essential for Yushu to grow fast. However, it should be noted that Yushu is full of water, very drought-tolerant, and prefers the arid basin soil environment. Then how to water it properly every day?
It's simple. Its roots are thick, so we can make it a little dry. The principle of watering is to thoroughly dry the soil in the basin and water it directly. Only in this way can we ensure that it will not dry up and rot and grow rapidly.
But you can't water Yushu too much. If there is more water, Yushu will grow white. If the drainage is poor, it will also cause root rot.
Fertilize soil or land
Yushu cannot grow without chemical fertilizer. After all, Yushu is a foliage plant. Although Yushu is barren-tolerant, its growth rate naturally slows down because of too little fertilization.
If you want it to grow branches quickly, leaves quickly and grow strong, and let the branches age quickly, try to choose a fertilizer with high nitrogen content and no shortage of other elements.
In general maintenance, it should be supplemented at least 2~3 times a month during the growing season, but it must be remembered that the fertilization concentration must not be too high based on the principle of applying thin fertilizer frequently.

Yushu is a succulent plant that likes light very much. If left in a dark environment for a long time, its branches will grow white and its leaves will droop.
Therefore, the maintenance of Yushu all year round must be placed in a place with sufficient light. Even in summer, as long as you avoid the exposure at noon, you can give it strong light at other times.
Indoor culture, preferably in Nanyang terrace and windowsill, can receive light. If you can't accept all-day illumination, as long as there is about 6 hours of illumination, it will be fine, but remember to turn the pot for a while so that the whole plant can receive the illumination evenly.
Trim regularly.
Yushu is a very pruning-resistant plant. After each pruning, it can grow more new branches quickly. If you don't prune for a long time, you will make more and more branches grow. Moreover, it becomes very messy and has no good tree shape, which affects the overall viewing effect.
Generally speaking, Yushu can be pruned twice a year, and messy branches can be pruned in spring. The useless twigs growing on the trunk should be removed in time.
And when the top branches are too dense, they can be sparse. Wait until the new branches grow in autumn, and then trim and shape them. In this way, plant branches keep dense, compact and tangible, grow taller, stronger and more ornamental.
