Yuhang Radio and Television University is the Yuhang branch of Zhejiang Radio and Television University and is an adult education school.
Zhejiang Radio and Television University Yuhang Branch was formerly known as Zhejiang Radio and Television University Yuhang County Work Station founded in June 1979. In July 1986, the TVU Workstation merged with the Yuhang County Industrial School to establish the Yuhang County Adult Education Center School. In November 1994, after evaluation and acceptance by the Zhejiang Provincial Education Commission, the Yuhang County Work Station of Zhejiang Radio and Television University approved the name change to Zhejiang Radio and Television University Yuhang Branch.
The school is located at the northern foot of Qiu Mountain in Linping, Yuhang District. The campus is lush with trees and flowers. The school covers an area of ??40 acres, with a total building area of ??16,500 square meters, 20,000 books, 260 computers, a modern distance education system with a broadband private network, a ground satellite receiving station, an English language laboratory, a general physics laboratory, and an electronic circuit laboratory. , multimedia classrooms, computer rooms and other teaching equipment
can be used for teaching experiments and students’ self-study and scientific research. The teaching equipment is worth 4.5 million yuan. The administrative building, teaching building, comprehensive laboratory building, student dormitories, restaurants, and track and field sports fields are distributed in an orderly manner. A new school building covering an area of ??82 acres and a construction area of ??42,000 square meters is under construction.

The school currently has 65 faculty members, including 13 master's degree students, and 56% of the full-time teachers have intermediate or senior professional titles. At the same time, more than 200 teachers from Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Technology and other universities were hired to teach part-time at the school. There are currently 23 full-time classes with 875 students, and 2,182 part-time higher education students at all levels.
As a core adult university in Yuhang District that undertakes higher academic education, the school is based on the local area and faces the whole province. It has successively opened more than 30 majors in finance, accounting, industrial and commercial enterprise management, foreign trade, statistics, law, Chinese, administrative management, English, civil engineering, modern electronic technology, computer application engineering, mechatronics, etc., with a total of nearly 9,000 graduates. . In 2002, with the approval of Zhejiang Radio and Television University, the school launched a modern distance college degree education, implementing a full credit system.
In 2004, Modern Distance Education was merged into Central Radio and Television University Open Education. Open education adopts a combination of computer online teaching and a small amount of face-to-face tutoring. It recruits students in spring and autumn. It is exempt from the national adult college entrance examination. Students obtain the minimum total graduation credits stipulated in the teaching plan. Those who meet the conditions can graduate in two years.
The higher vocational college education diploma is issued by the Central Radio and TV University, electronically registered by the Ministry of Education, and the academic qualifications are recognized by the country. In July 2007, with the approval of China Central Radio and Television University, our school established the Openg Distance Education Learning Center and started enrolling students.
