1. Thin steel plate
Thin steel plate is the main material for making ventilation ducts and components. Commonly used are ordinary thin steel plate and galvanized steel plate. Its specifications are expressed in terms of short side, long side and thickness. Commonly used sheet thicknesses are 0.5~4 mm, and specifications are 900 mm×1800 mm and 1000 mm×2000 mm
(1) Ordinary thin steel plates . There are two types of ordinary thin steel plates: plates and coils. This type of steel plate belongs to Category B steel, which is cold and hot-rolled steel plate with steel number Q235B. It has good processing performance, high mechanical strength and is cheap.
(2) Galvanized steel plate. The thickness of galvanized steel sheets is generally 0.5~1.5 mm, and the length and width dimensions are the same as ordinary thin steel sheets. The surface of galvanized steel plate has a protective layer to prevent corrosion and generally does not require painting. The requirements for this type of steel plate are that the surface is smooth and clean, and the thickness of the galvanized layer should be no less than 0.02 mm. It is mostly used in acid-proof and moisture-proof air duct systems, and the effect is relatively good.
2. Stainless steel plate and aluminum plate
(1) Stainless steel plate.
1) It has high plasticity, toughness, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance. It is a stainless alloy steel that is commonly used in corrosion-resistant air duct systems in the chemical industry.
2) The main element in stainless steel is chromium, which has high chemical stability. A passivation film is formed on the surface to protect the steel plate from oxidation and increase its corrosion resistance.
3) Stainless steel is easy to bend during cold working, which will cause internal stress and uneven deformation when hammered. In this way, the toughness is reduced, the strength is increased, and it becomes brittle and hard.
4) When stainless steel is heated to 450~850°C and then slowly cooled, the steel deteriorates, hardens, and cracks appear.
(2) Aluminum plate.
1) Aluminum plates include pure aluminum plates and alloy aluminum plates, which are mainly used in ventilation projects in the chemical industry.
2) The aluminum plate has beautiful color, low density, good plasticity, and strong acid resistance. However, it is easily corroded by hydrochloric acid and alkali, and has good resistance to chemical corrosion.
3) Alloy aluminum plates have high mechanical strength and poor corrosion resistance. Most of the aluminum plates used in ventilation projects are pure aluminum plates and annealed alloy aluminum plates.
4) Because the aluminum plate is soft and does not produce sparks upon collision, it is often used as ventilation ducts with explosion-proof requirements.
3. Plastic composite steel plate
Paste or spray a layer of plastic film on an ordinary steel plate to become a plastic composite steel plate. It is characterized by corrosion resistance and good processing properties such as bending, biting, and drilling.
Plastic composite steel plates are often used in air cleaning systems and ventilation and air conditioning systems with temperatures in the range of -10~70℃
