Variety Cultivation of Apple Pear in Yanbian
Yanbian Apple Pear is a Korean, Cui Fandou, born 192 1 years ago. Six pear scions were introduced from Beiqing County, South Hamgyong Province, South Korea, and grafted with the northern cold-resistant yamanashi rootstock in Xiaoji Village, Taoyuan Township, Longjing City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, China.

From 1953, the branch grafting was changed to bud grafting, the rootstock was changed to seedling raising, pruning and shaping, and the ring grafting was changed to sparse grafting and layer grafting, and a set of comprehensive cultivation techniques such as artificial pollination, slope promotion cultivation and pest control were adopted.

For more than 70 years, after several generations of careful breeding, this excellent cold pear variety has been obtained. At first, people called it "big pear" and "huanghuali", and later called it "apple pear" because its fruit shape is flat and round, its base is flat, its top leaves are long and narrow, and its shape is quite like an apple. Its foreign trade export name is "Jilin Xiangli" and its name is transliterated as "Shaguabai".
