Although there are different forms of potted plants, the rich variety of flowers can let you give full play to your potential. However, we should pay attention to the following aspects when choosing flowers for cooperative planting.
(1) The height of flowers and plants should be matched, and the combination of erect flowers and creeping flowers should be suitable in terms of leaf shape, leaf color, flower shape, color and flowering period.
(2) The habits of flowers should be similar, and the requirements for temperature, humidity, light, moisture, soil, fertilizer and pH should be close to facilitate survival and maintenance management.
(3) The growth potential of flowers should be similar, otherwise the flowers with weak growth potential will be easily squeezed out by the flowers with strong growth potential. All kinds of flowers should live in harmony and complement each other ecologically.
For example, planting a few parasols on one side of a rectangular flowerpot and a few low grass flowers such as daisies and violas in other places can reflect the charm of tropical landscapes. Another example is to plant a crab claw orchid in front of the basin, which looks like a cliff, and plant a mountain shadow behind the basin, which can give people a feeling of waterfall in the mountains. Another example is to plant exotic succulent drought-tolerant plants such as cactus, aloe, twelve volumes and raw stone flowers together, which can reproduce the reverie of desert scenery. In recent years, during New Year's Day and Spring Festival, it is very popular to plant precious flowers such as orchids, tiger-spotted pineapples, daffodils and flamingos together as annual flowers.
Different methods can be used for potted flower combination, such as intercropping and mixed planting, seedling intercropping and mixed cutting. Some herbaceous flowers can also be planted separately in small pots, and when the seedlings reach a certain size or show buds, they can be moved into combined pots. When arranging perennial flowers and annual flowers, the soil in the big pot can be separated from the middle to limit the root expansion of perennial flowers and avoid the root growth of transplanted annual flowers.
