What are the basic methods of flower modeling?
Plant modeling can create and maintain a good plant form, which is conducive to ventilation and light transmission. There are three specific methods.

(1) scaffold induced shape.

For flowers with strong climbing ability or perennial herbaceous flowers with soft branches or large flowers, scaffolding should be set up for binding and shaping to make the branches and leaves evenly distributed. Scaffolding materials include lead wire, thin bamboo and binding wires. Commonly used scaffolding forms are: single column, mostly used for perennial grass flowers, such as dahlia and single chrysanthemum; Geometric patterns are mostly used for flowers with soft branches, such as asparagus, winter jasmine, fairy finger and crab claw orchid (see color picture 65).

(2) The rope is stretched and bent.

Pull the branch into an "S" shape with a rope. For example, the trunk of Yingchun and the lateral branches of Poinsettia are painted in a vertical "S" shape, and the peach blossom and plum blossom are painted in a horizontal "S" shape, which can be divided into upper and lower layers and looks like a cloud. Stop watering before bending to make the branches soft and easy to operate. If the branches are hard, you can cut them with a knife at the bend and knead them into folding lines (see color picture 66).

(3) Because the tree was pinched.

Using the branches of potted flowers, the whole plant is kneaded into various figures of birds and animals by modeling technology. This method can also be used for viewing herbal flowers (see color pictures 67 and 68).
