Nail is a flat nail structure on the back of human and ape fingers (toes), which belongs to connective tissue. It is the deformation of claw, also called flat claw, and its main component is keratin. Homologous with the claw, the claw foot retreats, and the claw plate forms a rectangular sheet, which is the product of keratinization of the toe epidermis and plays a role in protecting the toe.
Nail, also known as claw nail, is a dense and solid keratinized cortex, which is located on the extension surface of the end of finger or toe. The main function of nails is to protect the soft nail bed under them from being damaged less at work, and to help fingers complete more delicate movements.
