Performance characteristics of austenitic steel
Austenite has good plasticity, low strength, certain toughness and no ferromagnetism.

Because austenite is face-centered cubic, octahedral gap is large, which can accommodate more carbon.

Therefore, it is paramagnetic, while austenitic steel shows nonmagnetic characteristics.

Because of its special structure, the specific volume of austenite is the smallest among all steels.

Austenite has a higher expansion coefficient than ferrite and cementite, so it is suitable for manufacturing parts sensitive to expansion.

Austenite has poor thermal conductivity and is easy to deform during processing, so it can only be processed slowly.

Austenite has high plasticity, low yield strength and easy plastic deformation and forming.

Common austenitic steels are HPM75, 7Mn 15, 5Cr2 1, DG60, 70Mn, 50Mn, etc.

Mechanical properties: high plasticity, low yield strength and easy plastic deformation. It can be used as high temperature steel.
