According to legend, in the second year of Emperor founding ceremony of the Han Dynasty (12 1 years ago), Huo Qubing was ordered to explore the Xiongnu in the west and once stationed troops here. The foot soldiers were tired and thirsty. Huo Qubing hit five times with a whip in his hand. When the whip rang, the spring water gushed out, forming five springs. Although this is a legend, the wonders of Wuquan Mountain's "Five Springs" have really attracted the attention of the world. These five-eye springs are distributed in an arc from west to east, namely Hui Quan, Ganlu Spring, Yue Quan, Mozi Spring and Mengquan.
Huiquan is located next to Qiao Qi. Spring is round, surrounded by green trees and lush grass. Spring is clear and sweet. It has long brought drinking water and irrigation efficiency to nearby farmers, irrigated hundreds of acres of fertile land below the mountain, and benefited farmers and mulberry trees, hence the name Hui Quan.
Ganlu Spring is the highest elevation among the five springs. Covered by an isolated pavilion at the foot of a cliff in the southwest corner of Qingxu House. Its source is very slim, and it has been raining for a long time. Drinking it is like dew, which means "the sky is peaceful, and the dew falls from the sky."
Yue Quan is to the east of Wenchang Palace. The spring is about 10 feet wide and 5 feet deep, and it is in good shape. On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, when the moon rises in Dongshan, the moon is the earliest here, and its shadow is cast in the heart of spring, like a moon plate.
Mozi Spring is in the cave downstairs. In the past, good men believed in women and groped in the spring water with their hands, saying that boys touched stones and girls touched tiles. Liu Erxin, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, once wrote a couplet at the mouth of the cave, mocking this superstitious behavior as "scribbling, begging for parents; Obviously, it's children and grandchildren with stones. "
Mengquan is under Donglongkou. Here, the cliffs are steep, the springs are waterfalls, and countless pearls are splashed, flowing between the grass slopes and merging into a pool of clear water. The water in Mengquan is the largest and sweetest of the five springs. Amin poet Wen Li once praised Mooncherry: "My master invited me to make new tea, and water is the fifth spring in the mountain." It is said that using this spring water in Mengshan, Sichuan to make tea is not only pure in taste, but also bright in color, hence the name Mengquan.
In addition, there are many ancient buildings in Wuquan Mountain, such as Chongqing Temple, Mani Temple, Sleeping Buddha Temple and Dizang Temple, most of which are concentrated in Zhongfeng. The buildings on both sides of the top of the mountain are surrounded by East Longkou and West Longkou. There are clear springs and green flowers in the valley, surrounded by green trees and pavilions. Donglongkou uses the water from the mountain spring to build a new lotus pond with rippling blue waves. On the winding pond, there are scenic spots such as Jiuqu Bridge and Erlong glass wall playing beads standing beside the pond.
