Traditional Chinese medicine treats acne according to the following four syndromes.
1. Wind-heat syndrome of lung meridian: initial acne, swelling and pain, facial itching, dry mouth, yellow urine, dry stool, red tongue with yellow fur and floating pulse. Treatment is clearing away lung heat.
2. Damp-heat syndrome of spleen and stomach: inflammatory papules and pustules are dominant, and pustules are mostly at the top of papules, with redness around, constipation, red tongue with Huang Gan coating and rapid pulse. The principle of treatment is to clear away heat and toxic materials.
3, blood stasis and phlegm coagulation syndrome: acne lasts for a long time, the texture is hard and not easy to disappear, there is pain when touching, or the face is bumpy like orange peel. Women may have symptoms such as less menstrual flow, dysmenorrhea and menstrual acne, dark tongue coating, and astringent pulse. Treatment: mainly promoting blood circulation and resolving phlegm, softening and resolving hard mass.
4. Pulse Irregular Syndrome: Skin lesions are concentrated on the face, mainly dark red papules and nodules, sometimes accompanied by pain, pale tongue with thin white fur, smooth or thin pulse, accompanied by irregular menstruation, often mixed with blood clots, and the treatment is pulse-regulating.
Western medicine treats acne by taking or rubbing antibiotics and hormones, which not only makes the body resistant, but also recurs repeatedly. So I personally think that Chinese medicine is safer and more reliable, and it can cure diseases.
