Automotive sheet metal internship report

The six-week internship is over, and I have come into contact with a lot of things that I didn't come into contact with during this period. Therefore, it is necessary to express what I have seen and heard in the form of a report, which is not only a reflection on the work in these six weeks, but also provides some reference for future internships and work.

The purpose of this internship is not only to learn technology in the factory, but also to understand and abide by the rules and regulations of the factory and some procedures that vehicle maintenance must go through from entering the factory to leaving the factory, and to learn to adapt to the working hours and working environment of the factory.

My internship place is Beijing Hyundai Xingtai Peng Jing 4S Store, and there are three of us. I was assigned to the sheet metal group, so I have been practicing sheet metal for six weeks.

There is a shaper, a set of gas welding equipment, two shapers, two shapers and a vacuum cleaner in the workshop. Sheet metal is divided into two groups, all kinds of work are in charge of by special personnel, and each set of tools is also kept and responsible by special personnel.

The official working hours of the factory are 8: 00 in the morning, but you need to report before 7: 45. If you are late, you should report to the management. Irresponsible, according to absenteeism.

Beijing Hyundai Motor has major models, such as Elantra, Sonata, Accord and Tucson, as well as an unusual sports car and the recently launched i30. The most common model is Elantra, the earliest model is Sonata, the most expensive is Tucson, and the cheapest is i30.

In the disassembly inspection of the accident car, the main components involved are headlights, front and rear bumpers (beams), radiator brackets, left and right fenders, engine compartment cover, front and rear windshields, doors, trunk and so on.

Bumpers are often damaged in collisions. When removing the bumper, pay attention to protect the left and right fenders, because both ends of the bumper are tapered. Before removing the bumper, remove the lamp first, and then remove it from bottom to top, from middle to both sides in turn. Because it is connected by fenders, the fenders should be removed before. When pulling the bumper out of the fixing groove, pay attention to pulling out the fog lamp plug, otherwise it will easily cause damage.

Compared with other models, the bumper of Sonata is more inconvenient to disassemble. Its headlights are embedded in the radiator bracket and need to be pulled from the bottom up. The gap between the fender and the wheel is very small. When disassembling, you can turn the steering wheel to change the direction, or support the car body to expand the gap. When replacing the lining, the wheels can be removed if necessary.

The radiator bracket is made of plastic material, which is easy to break in front collision. Because it is fixed with radiator and other parts, the workload is large when replacing it. Loosen the hood lock cable before removing the fixing screws. Then remove the bumper beam on the outside to prevent it from falling and hurting the foot surface during the removal process.

Generally, the engine hatch cover is seriously damaged in collision accidents, and the inner frame is mostly bent, which makes maintenance difficult. Therefore, the engine compartment cover is not repaired much in the repair shop, but mostly replaced. When replacing, the front windshield should be prevented from being scratched.

There is no skeleton on the inner side of the fender, so the front of the car is easy to bend in the event of an accident. When replacing the fender, adjust the gap between the fender and the hood and bumper. Find out the hidden screws when disassembling, and don't pull them blindly.

The windshield is connected with the car body through glass glue. When replacing, you need to cut the glue with a knife, then clean up the debris, cut off the residual rubber, and finally install a new windshield. Wear gloves when changing to prevent glass fragments from stabbing. Protect the paint surface of A-pillar when cutting glass with a blade. At the same time, we should also protect the annual inspection mark on the old glass and the rearview mirror inside.

The door is easy to be damaged in side collision and cutting, and the damage degree is different. Compared with direct repair, the door is usually closed and the damaged part is leveled with a repair machine. When using the setting machine for a long time, pay attention to cooling the door to prevent internal fire. When the car door is seriously damaged, it is difficult to repair and should be replaced. After replacement, they need to be adjusted to make their clearance with the fender appropriate. The removed glass should be prevented from being scratched.

The rear fender is also easy to be damaged in a collision, which is usually caused by rear-end collision or collision. The rear fender is connected with the C-pillar, which is inconvenient to replace. If you want to replace it, you must cut it first, which is a heavy workload, so try to repair it on the original car. There is a fuel tank cover plate on the left rear fender, so pay special attention when working.

The trunk lid is generally easy to be damaged in a rear-end collision, and the damage is generally heavy. Because of the difficulty in maintenance, it should be replaced frequently, and attention should be paid to protecting the rear windshield when replacing it.

Most of the damage to the roof is caused by the falling of heavy objects. This internship coincided with snowy weather, and many houses collapsed in Xingtai area, so a certain number of cars were smashed. Because there are few ribs inside the roof, it is difficult to repair after damage, and it is usually replaced. Falling objects from a height can also cause damage to the front and rear windshields, the engine compartment lid and the trunk lid.

The above situations are all injuries that are easy to repair. Hard parts such as A-pillar, C-pillar, front cross beam and front longitudinal beam are often damaged when vehicles have a serious collision. In these cases, some parts of the vehicle need to be stretched and carried out on a fixed workbench. Most modern automobile bodies are connected by spot welding or plug welding, which requires drilling with an electric drill and then cutting with a grinder. When installing new parts, it is often necessary to repeatedly adjust and stretch the damaged parts. Because the factory has no equipment to measure the body, it is time-consuming and laborious, and the repaired body is not accurate. So there is a lot of room for improvement. When replacing the A-pillar, the dashboard, seat, interior and other parts in the car must be removed. When welding, the glass should be protected to prevent it from being burnt out.

In addition to collision accidents, sheet metal work also includes the repair of some faults caused by normal wear, such as glass lifter, door handle, wiper and sealing strip. Be extra careful and pay attention to the method when removing the internal body mounting parts. Many decorative parts are mostly made of plastic, which is easy to break if the force is too large. Under normal circumstances, tools such as screwdriver and elbow pliers can solve the problem well, and keep the car clean when working. Door and window regulators are easily damaged parts, which are divided into manual and automatic. When replacing the electric window regulator, the hexagon socket head screw fixing the motor is easy to be twisted, so pay attention.
