From Taiwan, China, he received complete trainee, internship and residency training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and obtained the plastic surgery specialist license in Taiwan. He also trained at the Tissue Engineering Center of the University of Massachusetts in Boston, USA. After returning to China, he worked in Linkou Chang Gung Gung Memorial Hospital established a tissue engineering laboratory and obtained a doctorate from the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Chang Gung Memorial University, Taiwan.
