Weak gastrointestinal function
The gastrointestinal function of lactating mothers is weak. Eating too much cold food can easily lead to sudden contraction of gastrointestinal blood vessels, decreased secretion of gastric juice, decreased digestive function, abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms.
Mucosal congestion of respiratory tract
Respiratory mucosa such as nose, pharynx and trachea of lactating mothers are often congested with edema. If they eat too many cold drinks such as ice cream, the congested blood vessels will suddenly contract, the blood will decrease, and the local resistance will decrease, so that bacteria and viruses lurking in the throat, trachea, nasal cavity and mouth will take the opportunity to cause hoarseness, cough and headache. In severe cases, it can cause upper respiratory infection or induce tonsillitis.
Affect the baby's health
Breast-feeding mothers should not eat too much ice cream and cold drinks, because it will affect their babies through milk. Babies with weak resistance are difficult to adapt to changes in milk and are prone to diarrhea. Especially when the baby has loose bowels or the gastrointestinal tract is not good, the mother should not drink cold drinks and eat ice cream.
