What is another form of lam?
Pleural effusion is another common manifestation of LAM, usually chylothorax.

What is chylothorax?

Chyloid fluid is milky white fluid in lymphatic vessels. Long-chain triglycerides in diet are transported to chylothorax through gastrointestinal lymphatic vessels, converted into chylothorax granules and very low density lipoprotein, entered the thoracic cavity through the thoracic duct, rose along the front of the spine, and finally entered the blood circulation. Usually about 2 liters of chylous fluid is produced every day. Among ordinary patients, the causes of chylothorax include surgery, trauma and tuberculosis.
