How to disassemble the motorcycle fuel tank?
1, different models have different methods. Straddle-type vehicles need to remove or open the seat cushion and the left and right covers, then remove the screws at the rear end of the fuel tank and unplug the fuel tank (some vehicles have oil level sensors) before removing the fuel tank. If it is a curved beam or a scooter, it will be more troublesome. Before removing the fuel tank, you need to remove the seat cushion and guard plate.

2. The seat cushion, the side cover, the guide cover and the oil pipe, the wires under the oil tank and the front part of the box, that is, the front, left and right sides of the frame, all have a cylindrical positioning. Lift the back of the fuel tank and pull it back to get up.

3. The location of the fuel tank is also different, mostly under the seat cushion, or under the pedal, or in the front panel. In either case, the plastic guard plate and related screws must be removed before removal. Because there are many models, the components and parts that need to be dismantled are different, so it is impossible to specify them. Just find the location of the fuel tank, remove the screws and plastic plates, and finally you can remove the fuel tank.

Extended data:

1, put gasoline. First, turn off the fuel tank switch, unplug the gasoline pipe from the joint of the carburetor, and put the lower end of the oil pipe into the plastic basin. When the gasoline pipe is put into the plastic basin, turn on the fuel tank switch, and wait until the gasoline is exhausted to ensure that the fuel tank switch is in the open state;

2, compressed air flushing. When the gasoline is discharged, open the fuel tank cover. Then turn on the air compressor, put the high-pressure air pipe into the tank mouth, and block the gap of the tank cover with a rag or towel to prevent air leakage. At this time, with the entry of compressed air, impurities and moisture in gasoline that has not flowed out of the fuel tank before will be ejected from the outlet of the fuel tank. At this time, the air pipe will be adjusted in different directions.

Pull out the gas pipe until the crackling sound in the fuel tank stops, then turn off the air compressor, and finally turn off the gasoline switch to reset the fuel tank cover;

3. Gasoline flushing. Remove the fuel tank, and then fix the fuel tank mouth upward. Then pour 10L gasoline into the fuel tank through the funnel (be careful not to pour impurities into the fuel tank) and close the fuel tank cover. Finally, shake the fuel tank vigorously for 2-3 minutes, then continue to drain the gasoline and repeat the previous step.
